How to Care for Your Jewelry
To keep your jewelry looking new, here are our care tips:
Everyday Wear
Avoid contact with perfume, lotions, and household cleaners, which can wear down plating and gemstones.
Put jewelry on last when getting ready.
Cleaning
For rhodium-plated sterling silver and 18K gold vermeil:
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry, microfiber cloth.
- If needed, clean with mild soap and lukewarm water, then pat dry.
- Never use harsh jewelry dips or polishing cloths meant for unplated metals.
For semi-precious gemstones:
- Use a damp cloth only. Avoid chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners.
Storage
Store pieces in a soft pouch or jewelry box to protect against scratches and tarnish.
Keep each item separate so chains don’t tangle and stones don’t scratch one another.
Avoid storing in bathrooms or humid places.
